Kathy's Story

Greetings Eagles, I have often looked to see if my old classmates had written bio's and usually disappoined to find most had not. I then realized I had not either, so..... After high school and some college I had several very rewarding jobs. Rewarding jobs are defined by the beholder i guess. That to me was having enough money to have all the material things I wanted, be able to pay the mortgage and the PG & E and still have some left to travel or do what ever it is you desire doing. In 1982 I married the love of my life, Eddie Biggs Jr, after dating for 8 years. We had our 1st child in 1983, our 2nd in 1985, twins in 87 and #5 in 91. Yep, that makes 5! 2 girls, 3 boys! Actually Eddie is really more like #6 than their Dad. I was able to stay at home with our kids and just recently began working in our family business again. We built our dream home in 1989 on 10 acres in Green Valley. We still live their and have had about any type animal you can think of. It has been an awesome place to raise our family. We have done all the FFA, gymnastics, dance, little league, motocross, rodeo........you name it we have done it. Now the kids are pretty much grown, educated and employed(Thank goodness) with the exception of #5 he is a senior in HS. Now our favorite past time is our 30 foot Scarab Powerboat. It is something that the whole family does together and we treasure those times. And now in a blink of an eye we are 50! Where did the time go? Our home isn't quite as busy as it was when the kids were growing up. Last August our oldest daughter, Bre...Expand for more
nna, was married. We planned the HUGE wedding for 18 months and it was everything she had dreamed of and more. I am greatful we were able to make that dream a reality. One bit of advice for those of you still having daughters to get married. DO NOT I repeat DO NOT let her watch Platnium Weddings , it could put you in the poor house for sure. All kidding aside it was worth every last dollar. She gave up her past career as a Raiderette as it didn't mix well with married life, it really is a huge commitment as she is also a post graduate student going for her PHD. Next month we are expecting our first grandchild, from our second daughter. Both Eddie & I are really excited about that. In June our youngest, Blaine, graduates from High School and then........ Who knows. I'd love to reconnect with any of you old Eagles, so hit me up and we can catch up. Kathy Mattos Biggs My Hero!YOUask!!!!?/ Well anyone who knows me very well knows thaT SINCE A VERY VERY YOUNG AGE my hero has always been my Dad!, George Mattos. He raised my sisters and myself by himself back in the day when dads werent awarded custody in a divorce battled then along with his new wife came my brother Terry. He always believed in each of us and I didn't realize that failure was an option that was reserved for other people. He was and to this day continues to be the guy who "leads by example" The only regret I have is that I haven't told him what an awesome guy he is and how lucky I have been to have him for my DAD! I only hope I can be a fraction of the parent he has always been.
